Optional CPD and YMCA Awards Professional Recognition

Our advisory courses are accredited by CPD and/or further endorsed by YMCA Awards (previously Central YMCA Qualifications or CYQ), the UK’s leading and longest-established awarding body for health, fitness and wellness qualifications.

Because not all of our students seek to evidence a professional recognition, we have made the CPD and YMCA Awards registration optional, so those who do NOT need it won’t have to pay extra. It is entirely up to you whether you feel you need it or not.

If you do require this, please do this next:

  1. Log in (or double check that you’re already logged in!)
  2. Select your relevant CPD and/or YMCA Awards registration module HERE.
  3. Once you have graduated, your add-on module will be activated so you can go in and complete your CPD and/or YMCA Awards registration.

This registration process will help you to demonstrate your learning outcomes and completed CPD hours for employment and professional verifications or to display on your website or in your consultation space. CPD and YMCA Awards certifications carry both UK and international recognition.

Remember that it is entirely your choice whether you require this or not and it does not affect but simply evidences the recognition of your training as being CPD accredited and/or YMCA endorsed.

Optional SkillsActive Endorsed Recognition and REPs CPD points

Our courses are endorsed through SkillsActive UK, the UK’s Sector Skills Council for Active Leisure, Learning and Well-being.

If you are a professional registered on the Register of Exercise Professionals in the UK, you can obtain an optional REPs CPD Add-on Module and receive REPs CPD points.

As your final exam does not involve in-person invigilation, SkillsActive has endorsed your training as a SkillsActive Workshop. A Workshop can attract a maximum of 6 REPs CPD points.

If you do require this, please do this next:

  1. Log in (or double check that you’re already logged in!)
  2. Select your relevant REPs CPD registration module HERE.
  3. Once you have graduated, your add-on module will be activated so you can go in and complete your REPs CPD registration.
